I was a little disappointed to not see that much Veryon footage. We all know it has the top speed but I'm curious how that weight affects it's acceleration. Top speed is not affected by weight as much as acceleration is. HP & aero = top speed. The Veyron is way over 4,000 lbs isn't it?
Be sure to check out this season of Top Gear, it's got James May in the Veyron hitting top speed, awesome.

SpadeRacer07, I've been deleting your posts and others on here since you guys are acting like children. Post your facts and leave it at that. I'm about 2 seconds away from banning people.
I've owned 3 RX7s. Any detonation and the apex seals blow out. Also a 13BT long block weighs 400lbs, an LS1 long block weighs 495lbs, but aftermarket headers will drop that down to about 455lbs. Put an aftermarket turbo, FM intercooler and larger manifold on the 13BT and the weight will be about the same as the LS1.
I love the idea behind a rotary but my big complaints when I had them was reliability, fuel economy and no low-end torque. They are very smooth and do rev to the sky, bridgeport motors don't have much trouble spinning to 10,000 rpm but they make little torque doing it.
The 3rd gen RX7 is still IMO, one of the best looking cars ever, such clean lines. I wanted one for years.

LOL, if it's like the Z06 YOU probably could and I could probably get it to limp home at 45 mph in the slow lane for 250 miles!!
No way they'll charge $120k+ for that car. 997 Turbo performance will be hard to hit unless they keep the weight pretty low. Shouldn't be hard to beat the interior quality of the Z06!

Cheapest Viper I could find in autotrader anywhere in the US was a 94 with 75k miles for $26k. Figure you could probably get a salvage title one for ~$20k. All of the smashmyviper.com videos have already been viewed 250k ti mes on just this site. That's pretty good exposure for their website. I th ink the odds are pretty good that they'll at least break even on the car. But even breaking even is a loss considering the time put into it. It's ju st business guys, no need to get all upset about it.

Get some video of you driving! Or attempting to, 740rwhp is going to be tough to hook up. Are you running drag radials? I had a 388ci all-bore LS1 in a 99 C5 convertible, no supercharger though and I had traction problems.

A 402 plus the lower weight of the vette will probably give it more mid-range torque which is why he initially pulled away. Centrifigal superchargers built boost progressively and really make their power at higher rpms which is probably why he was starting to reel the vette in.
